Valerie-Quick Color Reference

(this is a very quick color reference with her Bio. I'm busy with the Iron Tournament rounds, So later I'll make this much more detailed.)

Please note: Valerie is from a planet that I created. There are humans, magic, wizards, a few animals can even talk, and then there are Lenians. The planet is similar to earth, though the people tend to have a few magical things at home, though preforming magic is usually frowned upon)

Appearance:

Valerie appears to be mostly human, with the exception of her fox ears and fox tail. She wears a purple long-sleeved shirt and baggy dark-gray pants (which cover her fur covered legs). She has mis-matching socks (the left green and the right orange) that cover her feet, and she will never take them off even when showering. Her skin is incredibly pale, with a light dusting of freckles on her cheeks, shoulders, arms, and stomach. Her eyes are a light ocean-blue, and her nose is partly rounded at the end.


Personality:

Valerie acts like stubborn child, usually not getting what people mean when they talk to her (here is an example [link]). Her ears usually give her emotions away, though she doesn't try to hide them anyway. She is fast to trust people, and always gives people second chances(unless you are her lunch).

Valerie has Reverse Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She witnessed a horrible accident that would usually leave normal people with flashbacks, but her mind reprogrammed itself to reject anything bad. if something bad was to happen, she would remember it for a few hours, but unless her mind keep coming back to it, she forgets it entirely. Even if you bring it up after that point, she wont have a clue what you are talking about.

She also tries to act 'normal' because she know she embarrassed Mr. Mr. Pascal many times at the shop. This usually results in her standing out even more.

Valerie doesn't like humans much (most of the customers at the computer shop were too loud and often stepped on her tail), so she try's to stay quiet around humans. But with other creatures she will likely run up and jump on them, unless that's a suicide act, then she will just start talking....and talking...and talking... God save you.


Strengths:

Animal like instinct- she has the same though process as a red fox, making her attack without any traceable pattern and often makes maneuvers to avoid the enemy.

Ears- Valerie has the same ears as a red fox, giving her the same sharp hearing that they do.

Speed- her smallness and her lack of upper muscles help her speed. Though she may look awkward when running, she can sprint almost the speed of a rabbit.

Knot skills- Valerie loves knots. At the shop she sometimes had to untangle wires and such, gaining experience with them.

Tail- Her tail gives her many pluses. Because of it, she can fall greater distance without harm, has a resistance to cold weathers, and she gains confidence by looking at/hugging her tail.

Riddles- Passion, Desire, Lust... What ever you call it, Valerie has a major love of Riddles. There are very few riddles that she can not answer, and that is most likely because of her vocabulary is lower than the average persons.

Eyesight- (not in bright lights) Her eyes are wonderful at night. Along as there is the smallest amount of light, she can see almost everything perfectly. Though she can see everything clearly, not all of it gets registered. Her eyes mainly react to movement.

Blood- If she tastes blood (hers or anyone's) her Fox part gives her more adrenaline than usual. This also makes her want to bite more people.


Weaknesses:

Tail- though her tail is her pride and joy, it is also her biggest weakness. Grabbing/yanking it has he same reaction from a cat. Though she could easily tuck it in her pants, she is too prideful of it.

Lights- Valerie has missing pigments in her eyes, meaning that bright lights are almost blinding for her. When lights are incredibly harsh on her, she will be almost completely blind till the lights go away or she hides.

Fire- She is scared of fire for an unknown reason. Strangely enough she is attracted to those who know how to control it.

Noises- Val has the same ears as a fox, meaning they are as strong as a foxes. Loud/high-pitched noises will damage her eardrums easily and make her flinch.

Curiousness/Strange sounds- Val is incredibly curious and usually remembers what she hears. If she hears something unusual, she will look to see if she can find the source even if she is in the middle of something important.

Laziness- Val Is incredibly Lazy. She would rather sit down and freeze her butt off instead of changing the A.C. Same applies to any situation. If Val was at the Bank as it was getting robbed, she would most likely just watch. unless of course the robbers pulled a gun on her.

Child Like behavior- Val commonly acts like a little kid. Stubborn, curious, and creative. she speaks her mind, literally. If she is hiding from someone and they call her a little girl, she will stand up and shout that she isn't little.

Smells- Even though Val seems to be part fox, her nose doesn't work. She can walk into a dumpster and not smell anything at all.

Electricity- For some reason, if Val gets electrocuted and shocked, it takes almost twice the damage on her. She found this out the hard way at the computer shop.

Fear of sparkles- NOTE: sparkles and shinies are completely different.Valerie loves shinies and will chase them, but if there are any sparkles she will scream and try to put as much distance between her and it. _{cough... Twilight...}

Resistances

Temperature - Val is able to withstand colder temperatures for longer periods because of her fur. But heat is likely to make her dizzy and sick if it is above 100 degrees.

Poison- Valerie for being a Lenian, she has a slight resistance to poisons. While they still have a effect on her, they seem to have a watered-down effect.


Likes: Darkness, salt, Open places, music, dreams, sleeping, caves, Technology, being lazy, soft beds, nomiful rats, shinies, blood.

Dislikes: her tail getting stepped on, Magnets, pepper, heights, bugs, light, rodents or birds she can't eat, small places, sparkles.


Music skill

Valerie can not sing. Well, she loves to sing, but all of her words come out of tune and breaks if it's even just a little high. Though she can play the piano... Somewhat...There was an old lady that used to play the keyboard in the shop and Valerie watched her play all the time. But, she doesn't know any of the real note names, and can play only one actual song from memory.

Valerie also considers belching a musical art. She rarely belches on queue, but when she does belch, any windows unsecured will rattle and twigs will fall. Her belches vary in length, occasionally lasting between 15-50 seconds, unless she gets cut off.

Extra facts:

Valerie has a small case of ADD. When she was at the computer shop, she commonly said "ohh look a shiny!"

She also gets easily distracted by TV screens. If she comes across a TV that is on she will just stand in front of it and watch like she is hypnotized. When she is like this, everything around her drowns out and isn't registered. The best ways to get her out of this state is to wave your hand in front of her face, turn off the TV, slap her, or turn her around.

Valerie has a Purple Iphone that she brings everywhere, that way Wisp can talk to her if she needs to. Val doesnt have any pockets, so....Well frankly she tucks it into her bra. The Iphone has a protective skin on it that keeps it safe from water, dust, long falls, and light hammer attacks. Though, it won't be able to save her from a bullet or a blade very well...

She cant sweat. When she is overheating, she pants. (one reason why her feet don't stink.)

Valerie is incredibly sensitive about her height. She was often called little when she was in the computer shop, and she learnt to associate 'little' with weak.

She is great at swimming, though she has trouble staying afloat. Her clothes are made of thick cotton, and her fur isn't water-resistant, making her even heavier in water. Though Valerie has no problem stripping down if it means saving her tail.



[WARNING: the following background is incredibly long.]


Background:

Valerie is a Lenian, a special breed in her world. They appear out nowhere (and I really mean no where. There is a special branch of government made to find out about them and know everything about them, but they can't find out where they come from. They discovered that there are vast amounts of magic spirit in a certain area before a Lenian appears, so they set up millions of cameras in places with lots of magical spirit and have even more eyes on every camera looking for them. Though for some reason, the camera blanks out for one-sixteenth of a second, and when it gets back online, there is a Lenian laying there), then they usually wake up with a mission in their head that they will tell no one until it is complete. Lenians are usually looked down by the human race, it's not that they did anything wrong, it's just that the people a Lenian teams up with usually seems like the don't deserve them, and Lenians don't usually play by the rules. It's partly a "if you leave me alone I'll leave you alone" agreement. For Lenians to complete their mission, they usually have to find someone first and help them along the way if they want it or not. It doesn't matter who it is, if you are the president (only one actual president had an Lenian before), a bartender, or a homeless person. It's destiny if you do get a Lenian, no mater how much you try to get away from one, they will just show up one day for you. Though, only 3 percent of the human population actually has a Lenian companion, but the chances of meeting one are pretty high surprisingly.

Valerie is somewhat an exception. When Valerie woke up, she had no mission plan in her head, and no urge to find anyone. She had the basic information of this world, but not as nearly as much as a common Lenian should. She just woke up in a park late at night in December, with no idea who she was or what to do (the names of the Lenians are usually given from the person they are sourcing for). So she followed strange noises and shiny lights till she was in a old computer shop.

When she was at the shop she started messing with pile of defected electronics. The shop keeper caught her taking them apart and was about to chase her out, but at that moment Val saw a rat. She pounced and started munching on the rat, then the shop keeper had the idea to keep her around like a cat. His shop had a lot of rats, but the poison he had didn't work for some reason, and he was allergic to cat fur. Also it seemed that no other Leanias came in his shop when Valerie was there, and the shop keeper was somewhat against them. So he started talking to Valerie and agreed to give her a place to sleep if she takes care of the rat problem.

Later when the rat problem finally started to stop, the shop owner was starting to consider letting Valerie out on her own. As he was talking to another employee a black ghost with red eyes suddenly appeared and scared them away. Valerie happen to seen it when it did that, and she thought it was so cool. Surprised that Valerie didn't run away, the ghost introduced herself as Wisp.
